Accomplished young broker to strengthen McLardy McShane’s national footprint

As the Company continues to build its network out across Australia, McLardy McShane is delighted to announce the appointment of Taylor Burstow. 

With over 16 years’ experience in the broking industry, the reigning National NIBA Young Broker of the Year has earned himself a strong standing within the Queensland market.  

Burstow is currently the Chair of NIBA’s Queensland Committee, a position he was appointed to after eight years as a committee member. 

This experience has exposed him to the unique challenges that confront the Queensland insurance market and its clients - especially those in the northern regions of the state.  

The newly-formed position will see Burstow representing McLardy McShane’s interests across Queensland, with a key focus of helping to explore development opportunities for the Company. 

Burstow said he was delighted to be joining a company whose values align so closely with his own.  

“I could see the growth opportunity that came from joining an organisation that is looking to expand into Queensland and to help to further their brand up here,” Burstow said.  

“The Queensland insurance market is certainly a unique one, with various challenges including the impact of natural catastrophes – whether that be floods or tropical cyclones. 

“So, I think, that local expertise is very important to have in the market for McLardy McShane. 

“The way that Don and Mike do business aligns with the way I like to do business, so I see this as a great opportunity and a natural fit for me.”
