WorkCover Telephone Advisory ServiceAs of the 1st July 2010 the Victorian WorkCover Authority will no longer be paying commissions to Insurance Brokers for placing or holding cover. This means that we will no longer receive commissions from insurers that once funded free access to McLardy McShane’s WorkCover telephone advisory service. This service can assist in reducing claims duration, getting injured staff back to work sooner and in turn minimizing your WorkCover premiums. WorkCover rates are set by the government but it's how you manage your injuries that will impact substantially on how much you’re paying in WorkCover Premiums in comparison to others in your industry group. Trish has worked with companies as large as Mobil Oil and has assisted employers by reducing their WorkCover premium by up to 60% over a 2-3 year period. The fees associated with the telephone advisory service effective the 1st of July 2010 are as follows: 15 EMPLOYEES OR LESS AT TIME OF REQUESTING SERVICE $230 PLUS GST p.a 16-25 EMPLOYEES AT TIME OF REQUESTING SERVICE- $550 PLUS GST p.a 26-99 EMPLOYEES AT TIME OF REQUESTING SERVICE-$750 PLUS GST p.a 99 EMPLOYEES PLUS AT TIME OF REQUESTING SERVICE-$1,200 PLUS GST p.a These fees are reviewed annually and fees are payable annually in advance and are non refundable.
